'the whole of life is learning therefore education can have no ending' Eduard Lindeman

Lifewide Education is a community-based, educational enterprise whose purpose is to champion and support a lifewide and ecological approach to lifelong learning, personal development and education..As we interact purposefully with the world in our everyday, lifewide environments, we weave together aspects of ourselves and our environment, in an ecology of practice.  By recognising that our learning and practice underpin our ecological being, we are laying the foundations for a future based on ecological principles and values- an important step in the transition to a new Ecological Civilisation.

We welcome everyone who is interested in the ideas and practices that we care about.

Learning Cities & Cities for Learning
A culture in which lifewide education and learning flourish is most likely to develop in ecosocial systems that harness and mobilise the resources and social capital of a whole region or city in support of the diverse learning needs, interests and ambitions of the individuals, families and communities that live, work, study and play within the space and contexts it provides. The idea of learning cities & cities for learning is gathering momentum and substance in many parts of the world and Lifewide Education needs to engage in the debate and actively engage in their practical development.
